May is a Right-Centrist politician, and no one talks about it!

Site Admin still insists that May is the strongest contender for this seat. All of the evidence points otherwise, but when you have a Liberal staffer running the site, I guess we can expect him to do his best for his leader and make sure their crazy experiment with the voters of Central Nova works.
And I don't blame him, if he endorsed the NDP candidate he'd have a pretty tough go explaining himself at the next Liberal Luncheon with Gordon Campbell.
It is with that in mind that I have started this Forum, which in the interests of the voters of Central Nova will hopefully be approved by Admin.
May is Right-Centrist politician. No doubt that at the top of her agenda is the well being of the planet...where I get steamed is her complicity with being labeled as progressive or on the left. This deception coupled with her deal with Dion needs to be considered by a Central Nova voter when deciding where to place their strategic vote.
Voters in Central Nova need to be aware of the Green's and May's spotty record on issues of Social Justice.
Her profile isn't high enough for the media to be interested, but for the people of Central Nova it is essential that forums like this one are used to examine candidates more closely.
If one is going to make a strategic decision with his or her franchise one should be properly informed! Don't you agree Admin?
The GPC supports Income Splitting for families. This rather complicated concept is one of the key promises in the Green platform. The policy itself has been dismissed by the OECD as being fiscally irresponsible and socially regressive toward women. In response to this, the Green platform is apologetic for the policy and even goes on to say that they encourage women to take up volunteering or arts and crafts rather than go out and make their own living.
Carbon Taxes are consumption based taxes. These would be similar to the taxes we pay on alcohol or cigarettes. These taxes invariably hit the poor the hardest. Income Tax relief does not help the poor because they do not pay Income Taxes! Under the May/Dion plan the poor would bear an unfair financial burden in the fight to save the planet. This is not socially just policy and those who support the New Democrats because of their comittment to social justice should be made aware of this before making their strategic voting decision.
Onto May herself. Although she has recanted about her views on abortion she is on the Pro-Life side of the debate. She has acknowledged that she would never take away a woman's right to choose, but one wonders, with that one more vote in the Commons and a Conservative minority, where will May come down on this issue?
How would she vote on Ken Epp's bill to extend rights to the fetus? This isn't taking away a woman's right to choose but it is largely considered a first step.
May continues to hide behind her smile and quirky sense of humour. Is it refreshing? Yes. But May is seasoned at portraying an image. Does she "Tell it like it is" ? One could argue that she does, but as a former Ontarian I can tell you what happens when people elect a politician simply because he talks straight, uses common sense and tells it like it is.
This type of populist politician needs to be probed and examined thoroughly. Often it's not what they say they're gonna do, it's what they don't say they're gonna do.
So, voters of Central Nova what do you think? I invite responses. I have laid out facts and derivative concerns surrounding May and the GPC. Will these play into your stratgey on Tuesday
