Planning for the future

The conservatives will never implement sensible green initiatives. In his short time as Prime Minister Harper has made it a priority to ensure that the oil and gas companies enjoy billions of dollars in corporate tax breaks, he's muzzled environmental experts, called Kyoto a 'socialist scheme,' canceled the EnerGuide program, and so on. Canada's greenhouse gas record is horrendous; isn't time we elect a government that has the foresight to invest in green technologies and sustainable options? What is good for Alberta in the short term (and this boom will not last forever) will not be good for Canada in the long term. Are we really going to leave this mess to our children?
